IFI Training Topic – Day 2: Troubleshooting Common Fastener Quality Issues
Course Details:
This all-day class provides students with an intermediate look at quality issues universally experienced throughout the fastener industry. Common issues in the fastener industry will be broadly covered with problems categorized into several areas: raw material, forming, thread rolling, secondaries, handling, heat treating, and plating.
In addition to identifying the problems, common causes and prevention strategies will be reviewed and presented. The class concludes with a review of sorting technology and which common quality issues are capable of being detected.
This is an intermediate level class that exposes participants to new ways of thinking about root causes to common quality issues and how to prevent them. The class requires some limited understanding of fastener manufacturing processes, including what can go wrong.
