MacLean-Fogg is a diverse global enterprise manufacturing engineered components for a wide array of industries, including fasteners, cold-headed products, plastics divisions, and hot forging operations. Their commitment to innovation and quality makes them a significant contributor to the fastener landscape.
MacLean-Fogg Assistant General Manager, Dan Curtis, embodies the powerful connections and opportunities that IFI membership provides.
“I mean, the IFI is great,” Dan shares. “You can network with all kinds of people in your industry, like-minded companies. It’s great to understand what’s going on in the industry.”
Dan’s involvement goes beyond networking. As the immediate past Chairman, and with eight years of leadership within IFI, he actively participates in shaping the organization’s future.
“Getting to help guide our organization and develop where we’re headed in the future, it’s been really impactful and helpful,” says Dan.
A significant advantage of IFI membership, according to Dan, lies in its strong advocacy in Washington. IFI’s government affairs team works to create unique opportunities, like Washington fly-ins where members meet directly with house members and senators. This ensures that members’ concerns are brought directly to policymakers. Dan highlights the direct line this provides.
“What’s amazing about our Washington representation is they’ll create meetings with your respective senator or house member,” explain Dan. “So you’re directly talking to someone related to where your business is.”
Dan’s testimonial underscores the potential for IFI to create meaningful impact.
“IFI can be very impactful,” he states, “and if you can get involved, you’re going to help make a difference in the industry.”
