For the past decade, Arnold Fastening Systems has been manufacturing fastening solutions with a focus on two core product lines: Pierce Nut applications ranging from M5 to M10 and the Flow Form self-tapping M5 screw. Together, those products make up the majority of the company’s business.
As CEO, Genevieve Dantzler has spent the last two years leading the growing company. She says one of the biggest advantages of joining the Industrial Fasteners Institute has been having a community of people who understand the challenges manufacturers face every day.
“For us, being kind of a startup, IFI represented access to resources and a community in the industry,” Genevieve said. “For a small company like Arnold, it’s really helpful for a lot of different topics that we have to navigate these days.”
For Genevieve, the connections she’s made through IFI are just as valuable as the resources. She enjoys being able to talk with other manufacturers who are working through many of the same issues and learning from their experiences.
“Everybody in this industry could benefit from a collective of other fastening companies that are navigating the same things,” she said. “Sometimes it’s just therapy to mingle with people who are dealing with the same things that you’re dealing with.”
Her team has also taken full advantage of IFI’s training opportunities. Because the courses are included with membership, employees across the company can continue learning without worrying about added costs.
“My team loves the trainings,” she said. “We especially like that we have access to them with no additional charges so that we can spread those membership benefits across our different teams.”
Although Arnold has been an IFI member for just over two years, Genevieve says the company immediately felt welcomed by the organization.
“Since we’ve been accepted into this membership, we’ve been warmly welcomed,” she said. “Very friendly people, very helpful in providing resources, and just a warm community to be a part of.”
That’s what makes IFI stand out. It’s a place where members can learn from one another, share ideas, and build relationships with people who genuinely want to see the industry succeed.
