IFI Member Survey Regarding Tariffs
During IFI’s 2025 Washington Fly In, participants were asked in several congressional meetings to provide additional data on specific types of steel and other raw materials that are not available in the U.S. in the quality and quantity needed by IFI members. Members of Congress and their staffers also asked for any specific impacts of the tariffs on the industry so that Members of Congress can follow up with the Administration regarding manufacturers in their district. IFI believes this same information would be helpful in our discussions with the Administration in the coming months not only about the current Section 232 steel/aluminum tariffs, but also the anticipated Section 232 tariffs on copper/copper derivatives.
While we understand that not all IFI members are affected by tariffs in the same way, and negative impacts may be greatest on Division III automotive members, we want to make sure that we are soliciting input from all members.
Please take a few minutes to answer this brief survey to help in IFI’s advocacy efforts. Responses are due April 21, 2025. Your answers may be submitted anonymously, but we cannot follow up with you with questions and next steps without your contact information. Any information provided would be presented in a consolidated fashion that does not identify individual company names.
